GROUNDBREAKING RESEARCH ICR scientist wins Young Investigator Award for BRCA2 research

More research stories:

ICR scientist Dr. Rachel Brough, from the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre, was co-winner of the 2008 British Oncology Association Young Investigator Award for her work on BRCA2 function. This was awarded at the National Cancer Research Institute conference last October. Her research used Drosophila (fruit flies) to study the BRCA2 protein, which is involved in cancer susceptibility in humans. The study of a less complex organism has provided valuable insight into how BRCA2 contributes to cancer in humans.
