These statistics compel the ICR Global Foundation to fund the world’s best cancer research, with the aim to bring about the day when cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.
The ICR Global Foundation supports research and academic institutions of the highest caliber that efficiently use resources to fight cancer. Our current funding priority, London’s Institute of Cancer Research, is the world leader in cancer genetics and therapeutic development, and is the UK’s top research university.

Maximizing your gift to the ICR Global Foundation
33% matched funding on all donations
Now through July 2011, the UK government is offering a 3:1 private/public match of gifts - including gifts from the ICR Global Foundation - to the ICR and other eligible UK charities. Your donation will automatically be worth 33% more to the scientists we support, without any extra effort required from you.
Tax Deductions for US taxpayers
The ICR Global Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the US tax code. All contributions from US taxpayers are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax professional for more information. The ICR Global Foundation also gratefully accepts donations from non-US taxpayers.
Gift Aid for UK taxpayers
UK taxpayers can increase the value of their gifts by 28% by donating to the ICR Global Foundation’s UK subsidiary. Donations to the ICR Global Foundation (UK) Ltd. (Registered Charity No.1132593) are also deductible for US taxpayers. For your gift to qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in UK income tax or capital gains must at least equal 28% of your gift. Please notify the ICR Global Foundation (UK) Ltd. if this changes. If you pay UK tax at a higher rate, you can claim further tax relief via your Self Assessment tax return.
Employer matching gifts
Inquire with your employer about its matching gift policy. The ICR Global Foundation is a 501(c)(3) designated charity and your gift may qualify for a company match. Matching gifts are usually administered through a company’s philanthropic arm or human resources department.
